The story of SparkleSpratz began several years ago while I was searching for
an outfit for my son’s wedding. After several unsuccessful
shopping trips, I felt frustrated that I could not find
anything fitting my needs… something elegant, but not
too formal… simple, but with some design... some sparkle
maybe, but subtle… not overdone. Oh, and with sleeves.
Finally, I decided on a very simple sleeveless dress
with just a hint of sparkle at the neck cascading down
the bodice to fewer and fewer sparkles. Beautiful, but
no sleeves. Well, the solution was to make something
with sleeves to enhance the dress, not cover the dress
style and design, and add the same sparkle effect. As
you can see in the sample photo (to the right) adding
a very short long-sleeved, bolero-style cover and replicating
the same color and pattern of the sparkles on the sleeves
was a huge success. In addition, I added the same sparkles
to my bag and shoes to make a truly coordinated one-of-a-kind
outfit.
